Danish children's theatre company Carte Blanchewill be performing at the Festival Panoptikum in Nuremberg, Germany from February 13th through February 18th 2008.
Panoptikum is the fifth edition of this European Festival for Children's Theatre, organized by Theater Mummpitz in Nuremberg and Junges Theater in Augsberg. The Panoptikum Festival reflects the theatre scape in Bavaria and Europe and features different theatre forma and genres. It functions as a platform for experts and as a "marketplace of theatre" where everybody from ages 3 and up can watch, enjoy and get touch with theatre.
During six days ten theatre companies from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland as well as from Germany and in addition eleven theatres from Bavaria and Nuremberg will present their work.
Carte Blanche will participate with the performance Kalejdoskop. Kalejdoskop (from 2006) is an interactive performance-installation in which the audience journeys into a world where science and art meet.
This is a place that exists apart from space and time, where perspectives shift so that the patterns that form the base of all life can be clearly reflected – to notice, to feel, to experience and to inspire.
It is a journey that encourages children to be active participants and creators in the world in which they play an integral part.
